Jesus Was Right!

‘For the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away’

What I think Jesus was trying to say here was

The person that needs nothing, attracts everything

Someone sent me a post this week about a girl giving out about me because she has worked so hard to obtain her qualifications and then there are people like me who have a good body- so apparently people flock to me. I pondered this all week and journaled my reflections.

Abundance comes when you need nothing but yourself. I have had nothing, nothing but a few books, a backpack and a bag boiled rice all whilst living in a hut.

This taught me that I need nothing only my own inner peace that I work on every day. I also have had a lot of everything I get free clothes, holidays, etc and this taught me everything is not everything without inner peace.

I don’t need more followers

I don’t need more money

I don’t need more recognition

I don’t need more attention

I don’t need more clothes

I don’t need more gadgets

I’m pretty content with everything I have, and this somehow attracts more amazing opportunities to me. So, the point I’m getting at is this. Look around and appreciate everything around you right now. Stop thinking you NEED another thing in your life to make you happy. You can make yourself happy right now in his instance.

Get rid of the poor little me victim wishing you had more of something- and that would make you happy.

If the thought of lack- whether it be money, recognition, or love- has become part of who you think you are, you will always experience lack. Rather than acknowledging the good that is already in your life, all you see is lack. The fact is: Whatever you think the world is withholding from you, you are withholding it from the world.

-Eckhart Tolle

It sounds unfair but abundance comes to those who already have it and I’m here to tell you- you already have it!

Today’s task

Look around in awe of the world. Look at your family at how amazing they are. Feel your skin, That’s your beautiful skin. Feel your body. That body let you survive all the crap you put into it this year. Thank it. Look up at the sky. Look at the trees, They give you oxygen to breathe. Thank them. Look at your partner or friend. How good is that you have someone to laugh with. Bite into a fruit. Wow, this came from the earth. That phone allows you to talk to any of your loved ones. The sun warms you up. Look at children playing. We make them in our tummies. Wow, the world has given us so much and we forget to thank it. Thank you universe.

Suffering ends when you realize all you need is complete acceptance of this moment.

I cannot recommend these 2 books enough if you want to free yourself from suffering:

A New Earth- Eckhart Tolle

The Power of Now- Eckhart Tolle
